Big congratulations to Jim, Adrian and Roger, riding in Bespoked Holidays colours, on their epic ride in the Etape de Caledonia 2018. After taking on the challenges of some of the classic climbs on the Island during their stay with us here in Mallorca (without missing out on exploring the delights of the local brewers) we like to think that their kms in the mountains contributed to a great achievement in Scotland. The Etape was held over 85 miles of closed road cycling, beginning and concluding in Pitlochry. As the organisers say, the course is a cyclists dream consisting of rolling hills and forest-lined roads around Loch Rannoch, Loch Tummel, combined with the demanding, twisting climb of Mt Schiehallion (1,083m). The sprint up the 26 hairpins of the classic climb at ‘Sa Calobra’ on the last day of their stay after a big day in the saddle the day before, hopefully translated into speedy finishes for all on this Scottish Classic ride!
